Common questions
What types of receipts can Punch Ledger scan?
Hardware store receipts, supplier invoices, fuel receipts, tool purchases, subcontractor invoices — any document with vendor, date, and amount. Works with printed receipts, thermal paper, and PDF invoices.
What if the AI reads a receipt incorrectly?
You always review the extracted data before saving. Just tap any field to correct it. The AI improves over time as it learns your vendors.
Can I forward receipts from email?
Yes. You can forward supplier invoices sent by email directly to your Punch Ledger inbox address. The system parses the PDF or image attachment automatically.
Is receipt scanning available on the free plan?
Receipt scanning is available on Starter ($29/mo) and above. The free plan supports manual expense entry.
Can Punch Ledger detect duplicate receipts?
Yes. When you upload a receipt, Punch Ledger checks for duplicates across your vendor history — same vendor, same amount, same date range — and flags them for review.
