Contractor Invoicing Software
Create professional invoices from your project data — no copying numbers between apps.
Start free — no credit cardThe problem
Most contractors invoice using a separate tool, which means copying job costs, materials, and labor from one system into another. Errors creep in, line items get missed, and clients dispute charges you can't quickly back up. In Punch Ledger, your invoices pull directly from the project — every expense and labor cost is already there.
What you get
- Invoices built from your actual project data — line items pulled from recorded expenses

- Quote workflow: send a quote first, get client sign-off, then convert to an invoice
- Track invoice status — sent, viewed, paid
- Up to 3 custom invoice templates on Starter, unlimited on Pro
- Invoice history per project and per client
How it works
Open a project and create an invoice
From any project, click Create Invoice. Punch Ledger pre-fills line items from your recorded expenses and labor. Edit, add, or remove items as needed.
Add your branding
Upload your logo, set payment terms, and add any notes or disclaimers. Save the template and reuse it on every future invoice.
Optionally send a quote first
For larger jobs, send a quote for client approval before invoicing. When the client approves, convert the quote to an invoice with one click — no re-entering anything.
Send and track
Send the PDF directly from Punch Ledger. The invoice dashboard shows which invoices are outstanding, viewed, and paid at a glance.
Common questions
Can I send invoices directly from Punch Ledger?
Yes. You can send invoices as PDF attachments by email directly from within the app. You can also download the PDF and send it yourself.
What is the quote approval workflow?
You can create a quote before a job starts, send it to the client for review, and mark it as approved when they confirm. The approved quote then converts to an invoice — line items, amounts, and client details carry over automatically.
Can I accept online payments through Punch Ledger?
Not currently. Punch Ledger tracks invoice status and lets you mark invoices as paid, but does not process payments. Most contractors receive payment by check or bank transfer and record it in the app.
How many invoice templates can I have?
Starter plan: up to 3 custom templates. Pro and Business: unlimited templates. All plans can create and send invoices.
Does invoicing connect to job costing?
Invoices are built from the same project — line items pull from the expenses and labor you've already recorded there, so nothing is re-typed. Full automatic revenue attribution (invoice income rolling straight into that project's P&L) is still being finished; today most contractors compare the invoice total against the project's live cost view to check their margin before sending it.
